Francisco Santiago, Jr., MA

Francisco Santiago, Jr. is the Founder of Project PIEDRA and currently serves as Chairman of the Board. Throughout his 17-year career in education, he has served as a Reading Resource Specialist, Special Education Teacher and Inclusion Specialist. Francisco is currently an inclusion teacher and a team member for the MOSAIC character program. He is also a former Youth Pastor who currently serves as a Sunday School youth teacher and on the Board of a Christ-centered church named Iglesia Pentecostal Antioquia, Inc. in Jersey City, NJ. Francisco earned his B.S. in Public Health: Community Education from Stockton University in Pomona, New Jersey. He also earned his M.A. in Special Education from New Jersey City University in Jersey City, New Jersey.  

Renes A. Cruz, MA

Renes A. Cruz, is Co-founder and Chief Development Officer for Project PIEDRA. He has served extensively in both the field of social services and education. Appointed as the State Liaison for both the Juvenile Justice Commission and Youth Services Commission he served both the Bergen and Hudson county communities reviewing and approving grants for varied organizations. He was also the Regional Assistant Director for Restorative Justice Program for Catholic Community Services serving Hudson, Bergen, and Essex counties. During his tenure with Catholic Community Services Renes was appointed as a voting member of the Youth Service Commission. As an educator, Renes has dedicated the last 16 years of his career to the special education population. He has served as a self-contained teacher, a math resource teacher, and is currently working in the CHOICES program which specializes in students with severe behavior disabilities. Renes earned his BA in Sociology from New Jersey City State University Jersey City, New Jersey, and his MA in Education Administration  from Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, Arizona.

William Diaz II, MA

William Diaz II is Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer for Project PIEDRA. Throughout his 14-year career in education, he has served as a Special Education, General Education, and Accelerated Mathematics teacher at the middle school level. William served as an Instructional Supervisor in the Fort Lee Public Schools and is currently serving as Assistant Principal at Fort Lee High School. William has also been involved for over 30 years as a player, coach, and former Board Member of the Roberto Clemente Little League of Jersey City, New Jersey. William currently serves the athletes and families of the league as Vice President. William earned his B.S. in Business Management as well as his M.A. in Special Education from New Jersey City University in Jersey City, New Jersey.  

Osvaldo M. Matos, MA

Osvaldo M. Matos is Co-founder and Chief Human Resources Officer for Project PIEDRA. Throughout his 15-year career in education, he has served as an English Language Arts, Social Studies and History teacher at the middle school and high school levels. Osvaldo is currently an Assistant Principal with the Passaic Public Schools District. Osvaldo has earned his B.A. in History from Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey and his M.A. in Education, with a Concentration in Educational Leadership, from Saint Peter’s University in Jersey City, New Jersey.   

Francisco Velez, Jr., MBA, MA

Francisco Velez, Jr. is Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer for Project PIEDRA. In his career across  the corporate and educational sectors, he has held various operational and leadership positions. In the corporate arena, he worked in an engineering/management capacity for Public Service Electric and Gas, Co. and Lucent Technologies.  Throughout his career in education, Francisco served as a Mathematics Teacher and Vice Principal at the middle/high school level with the Jersey City Public School District.  He recently served as Principal at the high school level with the Passaic Public School District.  Francisco earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, NJ, his M.B.A with a concentration in Finance from Rutgers Business School in Newark, NJ, and his M.A. in Educational Leadership from Saint Peter’s University in Jersey City, NJ.   He is a licensed NJ Realtor with a focus on investing and founded a private equity investment group, Port Rich Property Group, LLC.  

William Ramos, BA

William Ramos is a trustee and the Chief Marketing Officer for Project PIEDRA. William has been working in the educational system for 19 years.  He is currently the Graphic Arts instructor and technology/device manager at Rosa L. Parks School of Fine and Performing Arts. He was also an active member of Shakespeare Lodge 750 of Free & Accepted Masons in N.Y.  William continues to be involved with TKA Corp., as a road manager and security for singer/songwriter K7 of TKA.  William earned his B.A. in Graphic Design at William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey.
